Eligibility Criteria for Chevening Scholarship:

To be eligible for Chevening Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

 • Required Language: English

• Eligible Countries: Scholarships are available to citizens of Chevening-eligible countries. For a complete list of eligible countries, please refer to the official website.

 • Commit to returning to your country of citizenship for a minimum of two years after completing your scholarship.

• Possess all prerequisites for admission to a postgraduate program at a UK university, typically equivalent to an upper second-class 2:1 honours degree in the UK, but requirements may vary based on your chosen course and university.

• Accumulate at least two years (equivalent to 2,800 hours) of work experience.

• Apply to three different eligible UK university courses and secure an unconditional offer from one of them by July.

You are not eligible for a Chevening Scholarship if you:

 • Hold British or dual British citizenship (unless you are a citizen of a British Overseas Territory or hold BN(O) status and are applying from Hong Kong).

• Possess refugee status in a non-Chevening eligible country. However, applicants who are citizens of a Chevening-eligible country and hold refugee status in a Chevening-eligible country are eligible.

• Are currently employed, have previously worked, or have relatives* who are employees or former employees of Her Majesty’s Government, or have been affiliated with certain government departments or organizations within the last two years from the opening of Chevening applications. This includes British embassies/high commissions, the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, Department for International Trade, Ministry of Defence, and the Home Office.

• Are employed, have previously been employed, or have relatives* employed by Chevening Partner organizations within the last two years. However, if such employment occurred within the mentioned timeframe, you cannot receive a Chevening Partner Award from the organization with which you are or were affiliated.

• Have previously studied in the UK with funding from a UK Government-funded scholarship.

Fill in your personal information profile, save the data, and validate your profile before initiating your application.
